Stephanie Stergis, CPPS, Owner - Certified in Pet Safety and First Aid
Stephanie was born and raised in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, where she always had a furry friend by her side. She moved to North Carolina in 2006 to be closer to her sister and her growing family. In January 2009, she started working at Concord Parkway Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant and a few months later, she began pet sitting with a friend's company, A Family's Best Friend.
Over the years, Stephanie continued to work at Concord Parkway, as well as two Emergency Vet clinics, which allowed her the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience in Veterinary medicine. In 2016, after completing her Associates Degree, she had built up enough business to start pet sitting full time and realized she'd never been happier! She poured her heart and soul into creating a trustworthy pet care company and, with the blessing of her former employer and mentor, she was beyond excited to introduce Bows and Bones on October 31, 2017.
Education has always been important to Stephanie and she believes it is a hallmark of professionalism, so - beyond the years of Continuing Education within the Veterinary field - she was very excited to complete her Certified Professional Pet Sitter exam from Pet Sitters International in 2019. She is also certified in Pet Safety and First Aid, and encourages her team to stay up-to-date on their CE as well.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys playing piano and guitar, seeing live music (especially her favorite - Billy Strings), making art, and hanging out with friends. She also helps fill shifts at Pet Emergency and Trauma Services, and enjoys the fast-paced medical environment. Stephanie currently has three sweet kitties: Zeppelin, Sugar Magnolia, and Figaro. Her best friend, Trigger, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in May 2024, after 17 wonderful years.

Taylor C., Manager / Pack Leader - Certified in Pet Safety and First Aid
Taylor grew up around all sorts of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs and lots more. She has always had a passion for all animals. From a young age, if a family friend needed a pet sitter, they would call her! Taylor started volunteering with Princeton’s Meow in Concord, NC in 2017. On her first day of volunteering, Taylor met Angel, and knew he was meant to be her cat. She brought him home as soon as possible and he has been living his best life ever since. Angel has an orange cat brother named Macaroni, who is the troublemaker of the house and is also a rescue.
In her spare time, Taylor loves working in her garden or caring for her houseplants. If you have any plants that need taking care of in addition to your pet sitting needs, Taylor is happy to help. She started as a Pet Sitter in March 2021 and was promoted to management in June 2024. We are so thankful for her dedication and all she does to make sure our pets are well-cared for.

Hello my name is Desirae but everyone just calls me Desi! I was born and raised in Midland, North Carolina. I have always had a deep-rooted love for animals, since I lived in the country and was always surrounded by all types of animals whether it was farm animals, insects, reptiles, anything you can think of! I have two dogs, one being a spunky husky named Naga and the other being the alpha German Shepherd of the house named Buddy. I also have three cats named Leo, Luna, and Tommy. I enjoy spending time with all my animals whether that’s play time or cuddle time!
In my spare time I love hanging out with friends, playing pickle ball, disk golf, volleyball and anything active! When I’m home I love watching movies, cuddling with my pets, and taking lots of naps. I am so happy to be a part of this team and to watch all of your animal friends!

After months of begging her parents to get a dog they finally caved in and adopted a labrador-mix puppy, and that’s when her love for animals began. She grew up with a hamster named Daisy, a bunny named Snickers, her beloved labrador named Jersey, and a feisty little shih tzu named Niko.
Emma is a full-time groomer with experience of over 5 years! She works with all types of dog breeds (size, age, personality), but her favorites are senior Golden Retrievers <3. Emma spends most of her free time hanging out with her family and friends. She frequently travels to Greensboro to visit her boyfriend on the weekends, or she’s in Hickory visiting her sister and Niko and her newly adopted pit bull mix Stella :)

Amber was born and raised in Concord and has always had a passion for caring for animals and children. She grew up with many pets and was an avid horseback rider when she was younger. Friends and family have always relied on her to help out with taking care of their pets and homes while they're out of town.
Amber is very active & loves being outdoors. She lives with her husband, three children, sassy kitty (Ripple), and three chickies. Her kind nature, caring personality, and attention to detail make her an ideal caregiver for your loved ones!

Jennifer C., Professional Pet Sitter - Currently Enrolled in Pet Safety and First Aid
Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Jennifer developed a deep love for the outdoors and animals from an early age, growing up on her family's crab and shrimp boats. Her childhood was filled with the joy of having a family dog, which laid the foundation for her passion for pet care. Woody, her first adult dog and ESA, was the sweetest companion until he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022.
In 2023, Jennifer embraced a new adventure by moving to Concord to live with her significant other on a charming hobby farm. Here, they share their lives with four delightful Aberdeen cows—Norma France, Glory Be, Swirly Temple, and Beefcake Betty—as well as over 78 chickens and five roosters: Rumspringa, Big Boy, Pretty Boy, Harry Houdini, and Moe. In 2024, she rescued Frank, an American bully and husky mix, whom she has trained to be her PSA. Frank has formed a special bond with Rumspringa the Rooster, adding to the farm's lively atmosphere.
When she’s not caring for beloved pets at Bows and Bones, Jennifer can be found on the farm tending to their animals or indulging her passion for baking. From sourdough bread to sweet treats, she loves spending time in the kitchen. Jennifer also enjoys running and staying active outdoors, particularly on those beautiful sunny days!

I love decorating our house (and pets) and socializing with our neighbors!!

My partner & I have three dogs: Fynn, an American Bully who LOVES to swim & climb trees; Theodore, an American Basset Hound that specializes in obtaining snacks & getting lots of love; and Willow, an all-black Labradoodle who is all puppy! They are the best... well, I believe so!! We also have 4 very spoiled kitty cats named Mushroom, Monkey, Stubbleton & Daisy. We did have a super friendly mouse named Daggett, but he recently passed away. So, as you can see... loving pets is what I do!! I can't wait to meet and love all of your pets as well!”

Tiffany grew up in Bristol, Tennessee, where both of her grandfathers taught her to have compassion for all animals. Throughout her life she’s had rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, birds, snakes, lizards, fish, dogs, cats, goats, horses, and chickens! When Tiffany was 15 years old, she started working as a Veterinary Assistant at a preventative care clinic. This is where she met Caleb, and a few years later – in 2012 – they got married! It wasn’t long before they moved to Concord, where she began working in Emergency Veterinary medicine.
Tiffany is currently filling Superwoman's shoes: She is our Relief Manager when Stephanie is unavailable, a Relief Veterinary Technician for Cabarrus Emergency Veterinary Clinic, she's a full time mom to three beautiful little girls, AND she recently started her own business as a Doula! Tiffany’s family also includes two dogs, two cats, two geckos, a snake, a bearded dragon, two bunnies, and chickens. She has been with Stephanie since the start of Bows and Bones and knows most of our original clients and their pets.

While we are not Veterinarians and cannot diagnose or treat any medical condition, we are comfortable administering prescribed medications and are more than happy to work with your vet's at-home care instructions.
